midori-0.0.18

Webkit r32284 and Midori

Thanks to Mike Hommey a new Webkit package came to Debian Unstable.

Using it I was able to upload revision 32284 of Webkit into my PPA for Hardy.

Note that Qt WebKit package are dropped since this will be provided along Qt.

Midori, Webit and Gutsy & Hardy

For now there is versions of Webkit and Midori for Gutsy and Hardy.

I will try to keep it on par.

Midori 0.0.17 and WebKit Revision 29753

New midori version 0.0.17 and Webkit revision 29753 packages in my PPA.

As usual here is midori changelog.

There is also a new IRC channel #midori on irc.freenode.net

Midori 0.0.11 and PPA Gutsy Packages

With midori version 0.0.11 I uploaded the needed packages in my PPA.

To test midori you’ll have to add these lines to your sources.list :

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/stemp/ubuntu gutsy main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/stemp/ubuntu gutsy main

After updating your repositories, install midori with Synaptic, Aptitude or even tagada ;)

Protech ONE

Protech ONE is a Linux distribution created for security professionnals and programmers. It is powered by Fluxbox windows manager and based on Ubuntu 7.04.

Even if you’re not a security technician or a programmer, it’s quite interesting because it’s a very fast live-cd.

Here’s a review and some screenshots.

If you don’t want to wait for fluxbuntu or others, let’s give it a try.

Ubuntulite : back on track

The Ubuntulite project led by Shae Smittle is back with a new site.

The goal is to provide a distribution (based on OpenBox) with regular releases that can comfortably run on computers that currently run Microsoft Windows 98.
